The challenge

Optimal exposure to beer lovers, tourists and the hospitality industry.

An old shipyard in the middle of Enkhuizen's historic town center is home to Brewery De Werf. Here they brew delicious beers and celebrate life. DEA.Amsterdam was challenged by the brewer in a challenging period. How do you get the brewery in the picture of both the buying hospitality industry and the beer lover? How do you make sure the brewery makes kneading good beer and offers a fantastic tasting room to enjoy locally brewed beers, tasty food and addictively delicious finger food?

Inspired by the brewer's ambition and over a beer, the answers came: search engine advertising, social media advertising and email marketing.

The solution

Increased reservations, sales and awareness through a multichannel strategy.

The brewery challenged us on several levels: our campaign had to portray De Werf to potential visitors, connect with immediate neighbors and attract tourists from historic Enkhuizen to the tasting room.

DEA.Amsterdam's search engine marketing campaign puts the brewer in the picture of thirsty consumers within a 20 kilometer radius of the Enkhuizen location. Our social media campaign increases engagement with surrounding residents as well as tourists visiting Enkhuizen: Brewery De Werf is thé place to BFF: beer, food & fun. Our campaign helped the brewer maximize this message. By making use of smart targeting options within Google Ads as well as Facebook and Instagram, DEA.Amsterdam put the brewer in front of exactly the right people, with the right message, at the right time.

The email marketing campaign with the on-trade offer completed the campaign: Mailchimp was successfully used to inform the on-trade relations about the latest offer, deals and developments of this ambitious brewer.

To measure everything properly, we linked our campaigns to Brouwerij De Werf's reservation system. DEA.Amsterdam made maximum use of the various targeting possibilities for the campaigns in order to address exactly the right people at the right time. This setup was followed up by meticulous campaign management with which adjustments were continuously made based on actual data.

The result: DEA.Amsterdam's campaigns drove 48% of all reservations made during the peak season. The email campaign delivered a boost in business orders. Main result: more people enjoyed. Cheers!
